From 2 to 6 May 2022, Polytech Angers is organising the International Week, during which we wish to strengthen links with our foreign partners by inviting them to come and give lectures, participate in forums, etc.

Registration for this event has closed. We look forward to welcoming registered participants on Monday, May 2 at 11:30 at the Polytech Health Campus Building, 16 boulevard Daviers.

14:00​ - ​Workshop: Stop and Reflect

With Dr. Christelle Lauret, author, scientist and professional coach.

The past two years have been a constant rush of events, crises and adaptation.
After constant change comes a desire to pause and reflect.  As engineering educators, our jobs are to help future engineers adapt to our constantly changing world.  This informal workshop will explore how to embrace change while facing hard choices. Together, we can find a balance between urgency and the need for observation and consideration.

Polytech Belle Beille Campus Building
Presentation skills are extremely useful both in and outside the classroom, and and in the world of work, a confident presenter is able to inform and persuade colleagues effectively.    You will be paired with a Polytech Angers faculty member and asked to give general feedback on student presentation skills.

Evening - ​Dinner with a Host Family (Optional)
Enjoy local hospitality with a French family and discover how the French really live. Volunteer hosts from the school will welcome International guests for a home-cooked meal.  

Wednesday May 4

9:00 – 11:00​ - Student Led Discussion Sessions
Polytech Belle Beille Campus Building
Peer to peer discussions are a useful way to actively engage in collaborative learning and gain insight into professional and life issues.  In small groups, participants and staff members come together for an honest and respectful dialogue around current issues.   Your perspective as a visitor is valuable for our students.

11:30 – 12:30 - ​International Study Fair
Polytech Belle Beille Campus Building
An informal ‘meet-and-greet’ session to answer student questions about study abroad opportunities at your university.   Participants will be given a table for marketing materials.  
Please bring any university marketing materials you would like to distribute.

Getting Around

Angers is a small town and easy to navigate by public transport or on foot.

The international week will be held at two locations (All directions are from the town center).

  • Polytech Angers Health Campus Building : 16 bd. Daviers  (20 minutes from the town center by tram)

By tram :  Tram Line A Direction Avrillé-Ardennes,  Get off at Saint Serge or CHU stations  and walk up the boulevard Daviers to the building.  

  • Polytech Angers Belle Beille Campus Building : 62 avenue Notre Dame Du Lac (30 minutes from the center of town to the Belle Beille Campus.)  

By bus : Line 1 Direction Beille Beille,  Get off at the Notre Dame du Lac or the Polyech Angers stop.    

Please note that due to current tram construction, you may need to schedule extra time when using public transport.
